Bacon Beach, Sorsogon

One of my favorite parts of being in the Philippines are the times when the whole family gets together and makes a trip to the beach. Since Monday was a holiday for them, we planned to go to Bacon (pronounced differently than the delicious strips of pig).

On Sunday on our way home from a trip, we stopped on the side of the road to buy 15 live chickens from a guy for the feast:

The chickens in the back of the van. Little did they know we were driving them to their death!

When we got home, the chickens were prepped into delicious dishes for the trip, along with many other foods. Then Monday we woke up early and headed to Bacon in Sorsogon (the next province south of us) which is about a 2 hour drive. We filled up 2 vans of people.

When we got to the beach, we headed straight for the water. Then we ate, sang videoke, played volleyball, swam some more, ate some more, sang more videoke, played more volleyball ... well, you get the picture.

FOOD!

Me and Jason enjoying an ice cream on the beach.

Videoke.

Crabs.
Huge, delicious shrimps.

We did damage!

It was a fun day filled with family, fun and of course- food!
