New Country Music {via my husband, part 2}

My husband has been working hard on his music lately -- co-writing with people, networking, coming up with new songs, editing/producing tracks... etc. etc. etc. And I am oh so proud of him.

Here are his three latest (and I am really diggin' all of them!):

You can check out more of his music here, visit his website, like him on Facebook, and check him out on SoundCloud.

So, what do you think of these songs?

Country Music {via my husband}

J and I moved to Nashville so that he could pursue a career in music. He's been doing pretty well- though he is still in the networking phase of it all. He's met some people and has done some co-writes, open mics/songwriter nights and joined some major songwriter organizations to help get the ball rolling.

J does all kinds of music. But since we're in Nashville, he's been concentrating on Country. I wanted to share some of the country songs he's done since we've been here. There are quite a few. Please feel free to comment with which ones you like:

O Holy Night {by yours truly}

Last year, I graced the internets with my song "Dope Girl Swag" as an early Christmas present.

This year, J and I did something more festive. Here's this year's little early Christmas present to you all from J & I-  our rendition of  "O Holy Night." Enjoy.

Tuesday Tunes | Mestizo Magic

My friend Lisa over at Meanderings, Adventures & Crafty Inspirations came up with this wonderful idea of Tuesday Tunes. Basically, it's a way to find new music, and I'm always down for that! On Tuesdays, you share a song from an artist you've 'discovered' and want to share with everyone. I think this a great idea as I'm always looking for new music and wanting to share my musical interests!

For my very first Tuesday Tunes, I'd like to share a favorite song of mine from a local artist / my husband (ha!) who goes by the stage name Mestizo Magic. This song is called Commercial Break. It's an older song of his, but I really like it. And the video was really fun to make. We got all our friends together and shot it in an alley. I hope you guys like it, too. Let me know what you think!

Mestizo Magic does all kinds of music from pop, R&B, hiphop, acoustic, and country. You can listen to more of his songs on Reverbnation (where most of his country songs are), Soundcloud here and here (pretty much all genres of his songs), like him on Facebook, and find him at his official website.

Please feel free to join us for Tuesday Tunes, or comment below telling me about an artist you like-- I love learning about new music!

A Justin Bieber Cover

Yesterday, we had some friends over and we did this cover of Justin Bieber's "As Long As You Love Me." That's me playing shaker & my husband on vocals/guitar. This was a lot of fun! Enjoy.

New Mestizo Magic!

Mestizo Magic has launched his new and official music website. In celebration, he's giving his new album "Overload" for free {download}.

Mestizo Magic- Dance All Night (ft. LeLe)

Here's the latest one from Mestizo Magic (and if you didn't know- aka my husband) featuring yours truly. It's definitely one you can dance to in the club. I like the breakdown in the middle. Check it out:

Mestizo Magic- Dope Girl Swag (ft. LeLe)

I'm not really much of a musician, but I do like music. When I was 8 years old, I wanted to be a rapper. No joke. Now that I have a husband who's a musician/music producer, I've been able to "live that dream" haha...

I did a song called "Pedal On Smash" around this time last year. Finally, after over a year, I have another song. We did this one a couple of days ago. I really like this beat. {All produced by Mestizo Magic aka my hubby}. It was fun.

Presenting "Dope Girl Swag". Happy early Christmas. Enjoy.
