I am a believer that different colors evoke different feelings, emotions, and/or memories in us all.
When I've looked out into the red dirt and rocky walls of the Grand Canyon, I felt energized and in awe. As I swam in the green waters of Jellyfish Lake in Palau, I felt peace and wonder. When I am in the desert and see the brown dirt, I am always taken back to my childhood when we would always dirtbike (a family tradition of ours). When I swam in the crystal clear blue waters of Caramoan, Philippines, I felt at home.
I want to start something new. I want to find photos from all over the world with a specific color scheme. Beauty and color is everywhere. I want to use this "Traveling the Rainbow" series as a way to show appreciation to it all.
My first color I chose is of course my favorite:

DeleteLovely photos! I absolutely would love to visit lavender fields - I've been dreaming of that for awhile...purple is a pretty relaxing and comforting color to me. When I was about 10, we gave my room an all-purple makeover. Like curtains, walls, bedspread, everyyything. And I still love purple :) I just found this article and it shares some neat insights and meanings.
