If you could leave tomorrow with a one-way ticket, where would you go?
I asked this question to my friends & fam on Facebook last week. I got some good answers -- like California, Italy, Poland, England & Dublin.
But this is what I would do: I would get a one-way ticket to Portugal (probably Lisbon). Then just train and/or ride a motorcycle my way east- hitting Spain, France, Germany, etc. etc. hit Turkey and Greece. Then take a ferry south to Africa and make my way down to South Africa. I mean- how amazing would that be?!
Yeah. I think that sounds like an awesome plan.
How about YOU? Where would you go?
Sounds amazing to me!!!! My Tbone's Grandfather came here from Portugal but we have never been.
ReplyDeleteI've only been to Porto and it was beautiful!
DeleteHarbin, China then drive all the way west to Qinjiang and beyond to hit all the cities in the Old Silk Road (Turfan, Kashgar, Merv, Bukhara, Samarkand all the capitals of Central Asian states and end up somewhere in Georgia). I want to go where people and tourist usually won't travel and I think Central Asia is underrated. There's a show where it showed a lady who did it mostly by train and public transport (crowded buses and trolleys).
ReplyDeleteSounds like it would be an amazing experience. And I agree- Central Asia is underrated.
DeleteDefinitely a one-way trip to Europe! I'd love to check out the Nordic countries and then the Eastern side, Turkey, Romania (apparently my 'ideal' Euro country according to BuzzFeed quiz) and all those. Fun!!!
ReplyDeleteWord!
DeleteIt definitely sounds like you have a plan! I'm actually hoping to buy a one-way ticket within the next couple of months--to SE Asia, exact location probably won't be certain till we're actually buying the ticket.
